Our Itty Bitty Baby Is A...

Tuesday, December 18, 2012

We shared our baby's gender reveal live on The Rhode Show last week, and what a special show it was!  My good friend, Jen, produced the show - and she might have been more excited than I!
Trying to be gender neutral - I wore this comfortable Liz Lange for Target Maternity textured sweater in polar bear. My favorite accessory was a gorgeous gender reveal sash that I got from and Etsy shop - the mix of pink and blue flowers - with sparkling rhinestones was perfect for a gender reveal party.  The creator, Rachelle, can make sashes in all different colors. It perfectly accentuated my little bump!
After going learning different ways to throw gender reveal parties, and going over common pregnancy myths - it was time for the big unveil!  Deana Cimorelli - an extraordinarily talented baker from The Bakery Boutique came in to share some sweet treats for the big day.

After discussing the various sweets, Jen - my producer, whispered into my earpiece that we only had a minute left and it was time to find out what my itty bitty baby was!
I cut into the gorgeous cake that Deana made..
And inside was the most brilliant blue cake!
Blake was away for work that week, and was not able to share this special moment with me on air - but he was delighted to watch the clips online, as well as eat the delicious cake when he came home.

Looks like the majority of the pregnancy myths were right! A bouncing baby boy will be joining our family this upcoming spring, and I couldn't be happier.  Bring on the dinosaurs, rock star jammies, and awesome Star Wars gear - like this Etsy find below.
