Having just had a new tiny baby a mere three weeks ago has meant that Tall Dad and I have been spending a great deal of time at home with our two kids. Our home is a bit louder and messier than normal, but our hearts are full of love and our bellies full of laughter.

In addition to our regular chores, and now the added responsibilities of taking care of our newborn daughter, Tall Dad and I have been trying to carve out tiny "me moments" throughout the day. I'm not going to lie, it's sometimes hard to carve out these moments - but they are well worth it.  Finding ways to kick back and relax help us from burning out during the week!

If you're an avid reader of Tall Mom tiny baby, you probably already know that my wife, Tall Mom, had our newest tiny baby!  Luckily, everyone is healthy and happy - and we are starting to get into the groove of having another living being under our charge.  But here's the rub - how the heck do we celebrate the birth of our child with our family and friends? After much deliberation, we thought the best idea is: The Sip & See.

I'll admit it...I'm not a wiz in the kitchen. If I am cooking, I like to keep my recipes simple and fail-proof. Oftentimes, I pick up some pre-made items at the store and supplement the meal with a homemade side or dip. Since having my new tiny baby girl last month, my enthusiasm for slaving over a hot stove has decreased even more...but that doesn't mean that I'm any less hungry than I was before!

This blog post is all about my love for a different type of post - the one that the mailman delivers! It has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser.

Everyday, besides Sunday, at 2:30pm, a little old man opens the front door to my house. There is a lot of banging, clanging, and eventually a thump as items fall on my hardwood floor. He is my mailman, and the thump is from the variety of bills, magazines, and sometimes the occasional card from a friend!

I Wish Everyday Could Celebrate Father's Day

Thursday, June 18, 2015

I wish we could celebrate Father's Day more than once a year. Honestly, I do, because my two children have an amazing father. Even when times have been incredibly tough, Tall Dad has been a steady anchor in our family, and for that, I am incredibly thankful to have him in our lives.

The First Time I Had A Positive Pregnancy Test

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

I participated in a Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for First Response. I received product samples as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

I have an unusual female cycle, and can go months without a visit from Aunt Flo. Because of this, I am constantly visiting the ladies room to take a pregnancy test. Even when Tall Dad and I weren't trying to get pregnant, I would be checking once, sometimes twice, each month. I should have bought stock in companies like First Response!!

But I'll never forget the day I first found two pink lines on my pregnancy test.
