Tall Mom tiny baby: February 2016

6 REASONS TO START A BLOG

Monday, February 29, 2016

In the previous post of this "How To Start A Blog" series, I shared with you why I started blogging. It was a way for me to stay connected with others, to share knowledge as well as my struggles, and to inquire advice from my new community.

Since 2012, my husband and I now run and manage 3 blogs, each uniquely different. We have also been asked several times about how to start up a blog. Henceforth, the reason behind this blog series.

But before we even delve into how to start a blog, I need to give you some advice: Why You Should Start A Blog! Below are some different reasons I think you should start blogging!

WHY DO I BLOG

Sunday, February 28, 2016

I started Tall Mom tiny baby in the fall of 2012.

At the time I was a local morning television host, was newly pregnant with my first child, and had just celebrated my second anniversary with my darling husband. My job as a full time TV personality was soon coming to an end, and I was quickly morphing into a new mom whether I liked it or not.

I had enjoyed sharing people’s stories while I was on television, but I realized that I had my own stories to share. Some were funny, all were honest, and I thought that some might actually be useful to others.

A dear friend of mine, Benjamin DeCastro, recommended that I start blogging - so people who got to know me on television could continue to stay connected with me as I transitioned into my new life as a mom.

I took his advice, and Tall Mom tiny baby was born.

Several friends of mine just had or are about to have their second child, and with their anticipation of bringing a new baby into the world, comes a lot more of responsibility.

Also,  A LOT of questions.

And the questions for one's second baby are very different than the first. Gone are the days of "what mattress should I buy?" "how will I know if the baby has had enough to eat?" to more of "who do I put in the car first?" "How will I be able to juggle it all?"

To these second time mom's, I've given the following advice and comfort:

DENTAL CARE TIPS FOR INFANTS AND TODDLERS

Thursday, February 18, 2016

My eight month old baby is the sweetest little thing. Her bright blue eyes sparkle each time I enter the room, and she is an absolute ham for the camera. Our infant adores her older brother, and is wants to play with whatever toy interests him. She eats all sorts of foods by this point (with meatballs being one of her favorites) and is getting better about sleeping through the night.

My baby also has a lucky tooth...
